You must accept by May 1 (or within two weeks if admitted after April 15).
View Your StatusIDs and Login Information
Parkland: Your Parkland College ID (PCID) appears in your Parkland admission email.
Illinois: You must claim your Illinois NetID to register for classes and access campus systems. Your Activation Code and University Identification Number (UIN) are listed on your Parkland Pathway application status page. They may take up to 48 hours to appear after you accept your offer.
Housing
Housing is optional, but you may choose to live at Illinois if you’re interested.
Illinois housing options:
- University Housing (requires at least one Illinois class each semester)
- Private Certified Housing
- Off-campus housing
Parkland and Illinois follow different academic calendars, so move-in dates, breaks, and move-out dates may not line up.
Be sure to check all calendars:
Orientation
As a Parkland Pathway student, you won’t attend Parkland’s Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) program. Instead, you’ll receive an email with two date options to complete a Parkland Pathway virtual orientation in May.
At orientation, you’ll:
- Learn how the program works
- Hear from Parkland and Illinois staff
- Find out where to get academic help, including Parkland’s Learning Commons
- Get answers to common questions
Course registration happens after orientation. Information about advising will be emailed separately.
Financial Aid
If you plan to use financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list Parkland College (school code 007118) as your institution. During your first two years, all aid will come through Parkland’s Office of Financial Aid or Veteran Services.
No financial aid is administered through Illinois while in the Parkland Pathway program, and Illinois merit scholarships offered to first-year applicants cannot be used in this program.
Learn About AidPlacement
Parkland: You must finish Parkland placement tests before you can meet with an advisor. Schedule exams online through Parkland’s Office of Assessment.

Learn About Placement ExamsFinal Transcripts
Send your final transcripts to both Parkland College and the Illinois Office of Undergraduate Admissions by July 1.
Your admission to Parkland Pathway is not final until we receive and review your official records, including proof that you graduated from high school.
If we do not get your transcripts by the deadline, your offer may be taken back.
Immunizations
Submit your vaccine records to McKinley Health Center.
If your records are not submitted:
- A hold will be placed on your Illinois account
- You will not be able to take Illinois classes
Illinois requires proof of specific immunizations for all students enrolled in an Illinois class.
