A Tradition of Honors Learning
Honors programs challenge you academically while building leadership skills and community.
Illinois reviews your admission application, including GPA and test scores if submitted, to determine your honors eligibility. Invitations are sent after admission, no later than April 1.

Campus Honors
About 125 first-year students are selected from across the university each year to be Chancellor’s Scholars through our Campus Honors Program.
College Honors
Each college has its own honors program. Students in these programs are called James Scholars.
