Canada – Application Help
Students from Canada can use this page for help completing the Self‑Reported Academic Record (SRAR) after submitting the Common App.
Education Section
- Under Grading Scale/Conversion, pick Other.
- Select New Scale/Conversion.
- Add the number ranges that match each letter grade (for example, A = 90–100).

Courses Section
- Report all your courses and final grades from grades 9 through 11.
- If you already finished grade 12, enter those final grades in the Year 12 section.
- If you are currently in grade 12, list those classes as In Progress (IP).
Ontario Students
- Courses labeled U on your Ontario transcript should be entered as College Prep.
- Courses labeled C should be entered as Regular.
Quebec Students
Two years of CEGEP must be completed after secondary school.
- CEGEP courses: Include “CEGEP” in every course title and enter these courses under Year 12 and Post‑12th Year.
- Secondary school: List your last three years as Year 9, Year 10, and Year 11.
