You must apply to Parkland College before starting your Parkland Pathway application.

Parkland College application opens September 1
After you submit your Parkland College application, it may take 2 to 3 days to receive your Parkland ID. You need this ID to complete the Parkland Pathway application.
If you cannot find your Parkland admissions email, log in to Parkland Self‑Service and open User Profile to see your Parkland ID.

View ALEKS Math Requirement
If you apply to the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES) or the Grainger College of Engineering, you must take the proctored ALEKS math and receive your score prior to the Parkland Pathway application deadline.
Taking the ALEKS Exam
You can take the exam at Parkland’s Assessment Center, Monday through Friday, on a walk‑in basis. Arrive by 2:30 p.m. and bring a photo ID.
If you cannot take ALEKS at Parkland, you may take a proctored exam at another community college or library. After you submit your Parkland Pathway application and choose ACES or Grainger, you will receive further instructions.
Uploading Your Score
You must upload a PDF of your ALEKS score report in your Parkland Pathway application. Your document must include:
- Your full name
- Assessment date
- Community college name
- Your overall ALEKS PPL score
- Proof that the exam was proctored

Required ALEKS Scores
- ACES applicants: 30 or higher
- Grainger Engineering applicants: 76 or higher
Apply to the Parkland Pathway Program
Parkland Pathway Application opens March 5 and closes April 5. We cannot accept late applications or late materials and we do not accept spring applications.
Within the application:
- Choose your academic college or school of interest and list all majors you are considering.
- Upload your unofficial high school transcript (and college transcript, if you have one).
- Answer two essay questions:
- In 200 words or less, describe how the Parkland Pathway to Illinois program aligns with your academic goals and why this unique dual-enrollment program is of interest to you.
- In 200 words or less, describe how your academic interests relate to the College you are pursuing through the Parkland Pathway program. You can also discuss specific majors that may be of interest.
Wait for Your Decision
Admission decisions are released on a rolling basis
If you are admitted, you must accept or decline your offer by May 15 (or within two weeks of your decision date).
