Parkland Pathway Policies & Procedures
Following are the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign policies and procedures as they relate to our Parkland Pathway program.
Billing
Parkland College Billing
Parkland and Illinois bill separately, and their due dates and systems are different.
Where to see your Parkland bill:
- Log in to Parkland Self‑Service
- Choose Student Finance to see your real‑time account balance and make payments

Illinois Billing
Illinois sends email reminders to students and Authorized Payers when there’s new activity on the account.
Where to see and pay your Illinois bill:
- Log in to Student Self‑Service
- Select Account Billing Information
- Acknowledge the announcements
- Choose Student Account → View & Pay Accounts
- Select Make Payment

Illinois does not mail paper bills. Everything is online at UI‑Pay.
Illinois Payment Plan
Illinois offers a Payment Plan that lets you spread your semester costs over 6 monthly payments (fall and spring).
To use the plan:
- You must enroll each semester (it’s not automatic)
- Minimum balance: $500
Authorized Payers
You can allow a parent, guardian, or another trusted person to see your Illinois bill and make payments.
How to set an Authorized Payer:
- Log in to your Illinois student account
- Select Authorize Payers
- Choose Add New
They’ll receive an email with login instructions.
If you want them to see your Payment Plan details, update their access under Manage Authorized Payer Access.
Tuition
You will pay Parkland tuition rates while you are in the program.
You may take up to 5 credit hours per fall and spring.
If you take summer classes at Illinois, you will pay Illinois summer tuition rates.
Fees
Fees
Illinois students pay certain fees that support campus services, spaces, and programs. Some fees are required while others are recommended.
All amounts below are per semester for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.

| Transportation Fee | $74 | Unlimited rides on the Champaign‑Urbana Mass Transit District (CUMTD) buses with your i-card. | Recommended |
| Student-Initiated Fees | $82 (combined) | Student organizations, cultural programs, sustainability projects, legal services, scholarships | Recommended, especially if you’ll live on campus |
Disability‑Related Resources & Accommodations
Parkland
Accessibility Services works with students who need accommodations. You will need to submit official documentation to receive support.
Illinois
Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES) provides accommodations and support for Illinois students, including Parkland Pathway students.
Student ID Cards
You will have an ID card for both schools.
Parkland ID
Available for free through the Office of Student Life with a photo ID and proof of enrollment.
Replacement cards have a fee.
Illinois ID (i-card)
Bring a government‑issued ID to the ID Center at the Illini Union Bookstore.
You must be registered for at least one Illinois course to receive full benefits.
Personal Information
Make sure you keep your personal information (including your address and phone number) updated at both schools.
Parkland
Log in to Parkland Self‑Service
To update information, email registration@parkland.edu from your Parkland email.
Illinois
Log in to Illinois Self‑Service
You must first claim your NetID.
You can then update your personal information and access your records and billing.
Campus Technology
Parkland
Open computer labs are available in the Learning Commons.
Illinois
Your Illinois NetID gives you access to campus technology resources and general‑use computer labs.
Technology Services provides support if you need help.
You will have email accounts at Parkland and Illinois.
Professors and campus offices use these accounts to share important information, so plan to check both often.
Parkland
Use your Parkland email to stay in touch with your instructors and advisors.
You will also receive updates from Admissions, Financial Aid, and other offices.
Log in using your ParklandOne username and password.
Illinois
All Illinois students receive an Outlook (Exchange) inbox.
This account is used for messages from your instructors and from the university.
You can add your Illinois email to your phone through the Microsoft Outlook app.

Parking & Transportation
Public Transportation
Your i‑card works as a bus pass for the Champaign‑Urbana Mass Transit District (CUMTD).
Visit MTD online or call 217‑384‑8188 for schedules and apps.
Parking at Parkland
Parking is free and does not require a permit.
Parking at Illinois
You can purchase permits for:
- The shuttle lot (E‑14)
- Long‑term parking in E‑14, F‑23, B‑4, or B‑22
Metered parking is also available around campus and can be paid through the MobileMeter app.
